About project

The M.A.M.E. Association is a non-profit organization that, for more than 12 years, has been operating for the benefit of people diagnosed with cancer and other serious diseases in Romania, especially children. The organization's mission is to support them in the face of illness by facilitating free access to a wide range of psycho-socio-medical recovery services, but also by providing emotional, material or financial support. With the financial support offered by the Vodafone Romania Foundation, we have developed a digital solution, www.impreunapentrusanatate.ro, meant to make available to patients and their relatives the following free of charge resources: counseling on accessing appropriate medical services; finding drugs that are not available on the market; fundraising consultancy for the payment of investigations and treatments not settled by National Health Insurance House or not granted in due time; finding accommodation solutions, but also other types of needs in the process of investigating and treating the disease.

We will also develop a Solidarity Community around the platform, a virtual place of good where all those who want to offer accommodation, transport and other specific goods and services will be able to support patients with serious illnesses.
